The project 'Heritage Audacity'

In the areas where the Colonies of Benevolence were established, an extraordinary number of organisations and entrepreneurs are still active today who translate the social story of this place into social commitment.

The project 'Heritage Audacity' - realised with financial support from Europe - highlights these pacemakers and shows the wide range of socially relevant initiatives.

The project calls on young people to take the Colonies as a source of inspiration for their innovative idea for 4 social challenges:

  • Local food production and avoidance of food waste, look for circular models;
  • Job opportunities for people who find it difficult to access the labor market;
  • Tourism with a story that focuses on thriving local communities;
  • The physical environment as a force for mental health and well-being

There is a call for ideas for this, that will run untill November 30, 2021. Youth teams will shorty find a description of the call here and they can also find additional inspiration here.
